Our Adoption Process
Found a kitty (or two, or…) you are considering adopting into your family?
Email us at mcspcacats@hotmail.com for an adoption application!
Sometimes we also have cats/kittens available for adopting that are not yet posted on our website. Send us an email describing the cat(s) or kitten(s) you are interested in adopting and we will let you know if we have a possible match.
All of our cats and kittens are kept in foster homes (did we mention we always need great foster homes?), so we can share as much information as possible about our felines and answer any questions you may have about them.
Please keep in mind we do have the following adoption procedures in an attempt to make the adoption a happy one for the cat/kitten’s lifetime:
- ALL members of a household must be present for meeting the cat/kitten(s) when considering adoption.
- If you rent your home, you must provide your landlord’s name and phone number. Landlord consent is required prior to adoption. To expedite this process, you can provide a copy of your lease or a signed statement from your landlord specifying the pet policy.
- A home visit may also be required.
The MCSPCA seeks the best possible homes for the animals in our care, and we reserve the right to refuse adoption to anyone.
Adoption Fees
- Cats (1 year+): $100 adoption fee
- Kittens (under 1 year of age): $150 adoption
We accept cash and checks only, no credit cards.
The fee includes the cost of spay/neuter, initial vaccinations, FeLV/FIV testing (for cats), deworming, microchip, and general care of the animals during their stay at the MCSPCA (food, litter, medication, vet care, etc.).
All animals adopted from the MCSPCA are spayed/neutered prior to adoption.
