Placing a pet
Are you having problems that are forcing you to give up your pet? Moving to a new home? Having a baby? Allergies? Please check the Can We Help You Keep Your Pet site! They have lots solutions that might help you keep your pet.
MCSPCA Adopted Pets
If you adopted a cat or dog from the MCSPCA and need to return the pet, please email us at mcspcacats@hotmail.com. Please only contact us about pets that you adopted from the MCSPCA and include the adoption information (e.g., estimated date of adoption, cat name at time of adoption).
Please be patient! The MCSPCA is staffed completely by volunteers. We all have full-time jobs and commitments outside the MCSPCA. We strive to return calls and emails promptly, but there may be a delay depending on the volume. Please do not expect a response within a few hours. If your situation is urgent, please let us know, but also try one of the other humane organizations. Do not abandon your animal outside, or give it away to a stranger!
Temporary Boarding
We sometimes get requests from pet owners needing a place to board their animals for a few months. Unfortunately, we do not have the foster care resources to accommodate such requests. We suggest that owners in this situation contact boarding kennels, other humane organizations, or prevail upon family/friends. You might also try contacting the National Association of Professional Pet Sitters to find a pet sitter near you.
