It's the 20th Annual MCSPCA Dog Walk & Pet Fair

Join Topper Shutt of WUSA-TV and lots of two- and four-legged friends to support the MCSPCA.  Enjoy the walk followed by a Pet Fair and lunch.   Get a T-shirt, a doggie bandana, and a doggie bag of treats!  You don't even have to have a dog to join in the fun!

The Dog Walk starts and ends at Avenel Local Park, 10051 Oaklyn Drive in Potomac, Maryland.

Register by October 17th for Discounted Rate!

Register by October 17th and the cost is $35.00 for adults and $15.00 for ages 6-16.
Registration on the day of the events is $5 more per person.
Children under 6 and dogs are FREE!

Registration fees cover Walk expenses only, so please get sponsors!  Your family and friends can help by sponsoring you and your dog.

 

Check-in starts at 9:30!

Check in at the registration tables between 9:30 am and 10:15 am

 

The Walk starts at 10:30!

Topper Shutt of WUSA-TV leads the pack on an easy one-mile route with a water stop for dogs and walkers. Even if it rains cats & dogs, the Walk goes on!

Walk is restricted to dogs only. Leashes and I.D. tags are a must. NO retractable leashes PLEASE.  No vicious dogs, puppies under six months, or dogs in heat are allowed to participate. Water is available for both walkers and dogs throughout the route.  Veterinary and medical aid will be available in case of emergency. Event typically ends by 1:00 pm.

 

Fun and Food After the Walk

Need help with dog obedience: Bone up with leading trainer George Cockrell.

Enjoy pizza, subs, beverages, and cookies provided by Potomac Pizza.

Join in a series of contests to win special prizes for the largest/smallest dog,  best person/dog costume,  best tailwagger, and best musical sit.

 

All proceeds go to the MCSPCA's spay/neuter, adoption, foster, and abandoned, abused animal care programs
