Why should you
take your pet to the vet?
Disease rates in
cats compared to humans |
|
|
Based on VMDB -
Veterinary Medical Database - at Purdue University. Number
of diagnoses in the population of 20696 cats seen by veterinary
teaching hospitals. |
Rates for AIDS, Heart
Disease Deaths, and Measles from U.S. Center for Disease
Control. Malignancy diagnoses from American Cancer
Society. |
These charts demonstrate that disease is much
more common in felines than in human beings. If you see your doctor
once a year, it certainly make sense to get your pet to the vet once a
year too.
Make sure to...
Take your pet to the vet at least once a
year for a checkup
for your pet's sake!
